Check-in is possible from 2 pm on the day of arrival. It usually runs through our key box at the main entrance; we give you the PIN by phone beforehand. Check-out is by 10 am.

Yes, no problem. Just let us know by the day of arrival, you will receive the PIN for the key box and can check in yourself, even late in the evening.

Yes, the breakfast buffet is included for the rooms; for the holiday apartment you can add it. It is served every day from 8 to 10 am, from savoury to sweet: bread and rolls, cold cuts, cheese, jams, yoghurt, muesli and fruit.

Yes, there are private parking spaces for our guests right at the house. If they are taken, you can park free of charge on the street behind the house (Spitalwall).

Yes, there is a bike stand right at the front door where you can lock your bike. You can also charge your e-bike there, ideal for tours through Franconia.

Our house has a history of more than 350 years.

The name goes back to Franz Daniel Pastorius. In 1683 he led the first organised group of German emigrants to America and founded Germantown, today part of Philadelphia. In the USA he is remembered as a pioneer of German immigration.
Over the centuries the building itself has played many roles: after the Thirty Years' War it housed unmarried women, later it served as barracks for French soldiers under Napoleon, and in both World Wars it sheltered refugees. In 1983, the 300th anniversary of German immigration to America, it was restored and has carried the name Pastoriushaus ever since.
